Description

A book than encourages bravery and understanding in your child in the event of a miscarriage.

When telling your children about the loss of a baby through miscarriage or through the baby dying at birth be sure to use words they understand. Young children might not understand words like “miscarriage” and might need explanations in simpler terms.  Children will understand that you are sad. Some children may think it is their fault, be sure to emphasize that it is something that happens and is nobody’s fault. Grieving in children can look very different from grieving in adults. Read this book regularly with your child to encourage bravery and give him/her the opportunity to talk about the loss and ask questions.

This series of books deal with loss and the absence of family, friends and pets, including death, divorce and extended period of absence. The loss of someone close through death is a traumatic and painful event for the majority of people. For many children and young people the death of a parent, sibling, friend or relative can be extremely difficult because of the child’s inability to understand and articulate their feelings.
